Abstract

The XY table is a series of industrial for manufacturing industries. With modular design and industrial manufacturing standard, these products are widely used in development of various CNC equipments, such as welding, gluing and bonding machine. For this project, the experimental setup of XY Table can be divided into a 2 sections. First is mechanical setup and second section is electrical setup. For mechanical setup the apparatus included motor, adjustment work, and modification for the table and other else. ln electrical setup included the related components for controlling the table operation. An analysis of XY Table was included a load and surface roughness testing. Load tests or performance tests are under anticipated production load. The objective such tests are to determine the movement times for various time critical transactions of XY Table. Surface roughness is a quality of the surface plays and very important role in the performances of movement and significantly improves fatigue strength, corrosion resistance, or creep life. Surface roughness also affects several functional attributes of parts, such as contact causing surface friction, wearing, light reflection, heat transmission, ability of distributing and holding a lubricant, coating, or resisting fatigue. According from this analysis, the errors include in determine the performance of traveling will be identified. By improving and minimize the errors the performance of traveling for XY Table can be improved.
