Abstract

The Development of Household Power Trip Monitoring Devices utilizing Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) involves in power trip occurrences and wireless communication. Power trip occurrences has the potential of becoming a severe problem commercially and industrial as it will damage electrical and electronic components over time. This project outlines the development of the device using transistors for sensing and switching while a microcontroller was used to communicate with a GSM module. The device has managed to produce an outcome by detecting the power supply absence and sending a text message to the user of the power supply condition. Development of this device was a success and managed to produce multiple data upon the use of the device. The device is capable of collecting the data on the power trip occurrence.
