Abstract

Kajian berkaitan tahap kesedaran terhadap kepentingan takaful dalam kalangan penjawat awam muslim. Takaful yang difokuskan dalam kajian ini adalah takaful hayat iaitu perlindungan untuk diri sendiri. Skop kajian lebih terbuka iaitu tertumpu kepada komuniti masyarakat Islam yang dibahagikan kepada tiga kelompok responden iaitu penjawat awam, pekerja swasta dan juga pelajar yang berjumlah keseluruhannya ialah 34 orang. Kaedah yang digunakan adalah berbentuk kuantitatif melalui edaran soal selidik secara rambang di kalangan masyarakat Islam. Keputusan yang diperolehi mendapati kesedaran penjawat awam muslim terhadap kepentingan takaful adalah masih pada tahap yang sederhana. Kesimpulannya, masih perlu banyak usaha yang diperlukan untuk memberi kefahaman dan kesedaran yang lebih jelas berkaitan takaful kepada mereka. This study focus on the level of understanding among the Muslim governnment sector employee on the importance of takaful in their life. The product of takaful studied here is a kind of life insurance. The scope of the study focused on three categories of respondents comprised of employee from government sector and private sectors; and students also included. The number of the respondents were 34 people. The method of the study was a quantitative approach through surveys circulated randomly among the society. The result showed that the employee from the government sector has medium understanding about life insurance takaful. It means that, more effort need to be done to increase the level of their understanding about takaful in general and about life insurance takaful in specific.
