In concurrent product development process, the adoption of concurrent engineering (CE) and their application of the Time Compression Technologies (TCT) is vital. CE is a systematic approach to the integrated, concurrent design of the product and process. There are two basically two approaches to the implementation of CE, i.e., the team-based and computer-based. The team-based related with multidisciplinary people in product development process. The computer-based is the tool and technique use in the industry. It is not documentation because it is the privacy and confidential. TCT is the manufacturing technologies, tool and technique to improve their production quantity, quality and reduce number of man power. There are many tool and technique of TCT such as Quality Function Design (QFD), Design For Manufacture Assembly (DFMA), Computer Aided Engineering Analysis (CAE) and Rapid Prototype (RP). Thus this study is carried out in order to understand how local automotive manufacturing implement TCT in new product introduction (NPI). In NPI of car production, there are four phases which are P (0) Market and Product Feasibility, Technology and Concept Development, P (1) Product, Process Development and Prototype Build and Design Validation, P (2) Process Validation and Product Confirmation, and P (3) Product and Process Improvement. This project focuses on the P (1) – P (2). The TCT will be applied in the manufacturing phase on the design preliminary approval (DPA). The DPA validation process is applicable in four main categories; accessibility, workability, component interface and quality. But in this project simulate and analyses the accessibility of human/tool by using DELMIA human ergonomic: accessibility of the worker to install the Exora’s Headlamp.
