Abstract

The Hydronic Radiant cooling system is a system of improvement of the existing system of conventional air conditioning systems. The Ceiling cooling is appropriate in comfort residents to use water as a cooling medium. Unlike conventional air conditioning systems using a gas as the main cooling medium in which the gas used is not even environmentally friendly and used the compressor need more electricity consumption. The hydronic cooling system used in this study into focuses two objectives, firstly to identify the possible use of cold ceiling system in Malaysia to achieve thermal comfort requirements and secondly to dete1mine the amount of copper tubes in the ceiling panel suitable for small spaces with and without aluminum sheet. Chilled ceiling system required to design the system with selecting the suitable manner to adjust the cooper tubes is the challenge that must be taken under consideration to achieve thermal comfort requirements. This experiment conducted by three different such as first experiment single copper without aluminum sheet , second experiment single copper with aluminum sheet and lastly five copper passes without aluminum sheet. The result of experiment show copper five passes without the aluminum sheet achieve where temperature and relative humidity cooper five passes without aluminum sheet is 23.6 ° C and the relative humidity is 58%. Based on the result, It is expected that the whole ceiling system can be used in Malaysia where the temperature is the thermal comfort for Malaysian people. The system saves electricity cost and also environment friendly.
