Abstract

The current society’s living standard are becoming better and improving in terms of technology, education and quality of life. However there are still some group of society that need assistance from the government or the community in order to survive such as the elderly, orphans or people with special needs . Although various efforts have been carried out by the government and non government organisations (NGOs) there are still limited assistance available to help these special groups of society. Therefore, one way to solve this problem is by enhancing the social entrepreneurship practice in Malaysia especially among university students. Social entrepreneurship concept in Malaysia is still in the infancy stage, therefore this study aims to identify the level of awareness, uncover the main factors affecting the university students to practice social entrepreneurship, and to evaluate the relationship between the factors and intention towards creating an innovative solution for social entrepreneurship.
