Abstract

This paper examines the relationships between of professionalism, communication pattern and productivity among the faculty members of Kolej Universiti Teknikal Kebangsaan Malaysia, using infonnation from 60 respondents from all facu1ties. Data collected using a close-ended questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation. Findings shows that the faculty members had high level of professionalism were competent in communication pattem and with moderate level of teaching performance. However, their performance in undertaking research, presenting papers and writing articles and books was relatively low. There was a positive relationship bet\veen professionalism and communication pattem as well as between professionalism and productivity. However, there was no significant relationship found between communication pattern and productivity.
