Abstract
The improvement and implementation of the ICT techniques in the education sector have significantly influenced the learning environment of all students. Today, students are experiencing massive technological and social disruption, wherein mobile and internet technologies offer better access to information and the mobility of knowledge. Each type of technology affects the education sector in some way. Furthermore, there has been a mutual integration between the major technological effects on the culture and the current educational theories and activities. In the field of mass print literacy, the education system made use of textbooks for instructing the students and transmitting the knowledge. In the past few decades, with the development of the computer field, the complete education system was reconceptualised around the development and propagation of knowledge using information processing, modelling or interactive methods.
