Abstract
Reusing unsintered powders in selective laser sintering (SLS) additive manufacturing is a good practice to reduce cost and waste. This paper investigated on the effect of recycled powder mixture on the mechanical properties of polyamide (PA12) lattice structure. Two types of material composition were used namely pure virgin material and mixed material from mixture of virgin, reheated and recycled polyamide powders. The results from compression test showed that pure virgin material produced superior mechanical properties as compared to mixed material. However, similar proportion was observed with changes in the design parameters of lattice structure when using each material composition.
