Abstract
Entrepreneurs are playing an important role in a country’s economic development. However, their constructive contributions on economic development have also led to environmental degradation. As such, the concept of “triple-bottom-line” has received much attention in the business and academic world currently. Without doubt, linking entrepreneurial activity and sustainable development is a vital practice for all corporations nowadays. Nonetheless, sustainable entrepreneurship still remains as an under-researched area, particularly in the local setting. In addition, intention of practicing entrepreneurs, specifically small and medium enterprises (SMEs) owners towards sustainable entrepreneurship has not been fully explored. As such, this conceptual paper suggests a framework by extending the theory of planned behavior (TPB) by Ajzen (1991) and further discusses the factors that influence the intention of SMEs owners towards sustainable entrepreneurship. It is hoped that this study could flourish the literature collection and shed lights on practicing entrepreneurs’ intention towards sustainable entrepreneurship
