Abstract

In this paper, turbulent flow over forward-backward facing step, of height h =50 mm and I= IOh long is studied. Simulations were carried out at Reynolds number Rch = 1.7 x 105 and constant external flow velocity by using three different type of turbulent model and compare with Large Eddy Simulation (LES) model. K-epsilon, K-omega and Spalart-allmaras model were used. The axial and normal velocity ratio at certain distance ratio at different height is compared with each other. The results obtained from the simulation for three model shows a good agreement with the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) model.
