Abstract
Flexible and adaptive has been proved to be the key enablers for manufacturing industry to meet the global market challenges and sustain competitiveness under unpredictable environment. It would seem that next generation manufacturing industry will require support for continuous changes. At the level of the industry’s shop floor, this translates to industrial automation and control systems that quickly respond to change while maintaining stable and efficient operation. The paper will present the results of simulation based control system studies. A concept for self adaptive control for flexible assembly system with the help of simulation is proposed and explained.
